In 1997, owner, Jimmy BIR Singh embarked on opening up his first business in the trucking industry. Prior to making this decision Singh had been driving for several years, immersing himself to the core of the industry. As an owner operator, Singh, understood that the key to being most efficient on the road was to know his truck and learn the mechanical aspect of trucking. With this insight, Singh implemented a full service maintenance shop to service his fleet. Currently, Singh’s fleet is comprised of 60 trucks and over 130 dry van trailers. BIR Transport has grown from a one terminal operation to a multi terminal operation. Some of the other terminals include: Augusta, GA, Knoxville, TN, and Draper, VA. BIR Transport now services all of the south east as well as the east coast.

Sam Gentry
Partner, Sam Gentry is no stranger to trucking either. Sam has garnered the reputation of being a top tier mechanic with his ability to diagnose almost any mechanical issue. A bulk of Sam’s career stems from the Premier Trucking Group. Sam started his journey at Premier in 2002, at this time he worked in the shop as a maintenance technician. After 2 and a half years of diligent work, Sam was tasked with opportunity to build out the mobile service department for PTG (Premier Trucking Group). Upon Sam’s departure from PTG in 2024, Sam had grown the mobile service department from 1 sprinter van to 10 service trucks that now service 2,000 square miles of Tennessee and Kentucky. It is safe to say that your trucking needs will be handled by the best in the business.
